Merger and Lenders
If you contact your bank to advise them we are acting in your mortgage, please contact us if you have any problems with the bank instructing us or stating we are not on their panel. We maybe listed under KIRKLANDS LAW LIMITED trading as Orme Law.
We merged with Kirklands Law of Perth last October. The new firm is Kirklands Law Limited trading under Orme Law. The merger expands the reach of the firm into Perthshire and expands our area of expertise to include an Executry service. Graham Gibson has over 30 years experience as a solicitor and he combines this knowledge with his experience in the development of IT systems for Law Firms. Prior to the merger he was responsible for Orme Business and Property Law becoming the first firm in Stirlingshire to adopt a CLOUD based file system ensuring your files are more comprehensive and safer than ever before and ensuring we can keep costs and fees at competitive levels.
Computerised Transfer of title
Many clients have enquired about the reduced registration dues on land transactions where the computerised transfer system is used known as ARTL. While we are registered and able to use the system, it can only be used whith certain transactions and also where the other solicitor is registered to use ARTL. Until the system becomes more widely available for use in different transactions then we have to assume that in the bulk of transactions the non ARTL fees will apply.
We are pleased to advise we have moved to a new office at 129 High Street, Linlithgow on 14 September 2015. The new offices provide more space and better facilities for clients and staff alike and will shortly accommodate further staff to ensure our branch is even better equipped to expand and provide services to our Linlithgow clients.
